POETRY BY HEART 2022 Finalists

We had some wonderful news last week that 4 of our Year 8 students (Maiya, Tanya, Lara and Eloise) have been selected as national finalists in the Poetry by Heart competition.
There were around 1500 entries to this competition and the exciting prize is evidence of just how prestigious the competition is. The students will have the chance to travel to London for the finalist’s celebration event at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on the Southbank in June which includes: being in the audience for a play at the Globe, an overnight stay at on the Southbank, and a full day of poetry activities including meeting Simon Armitage and other poets. We are so proud of them and hope that they have a fantastic time, no matter what the final outcome!
