Strengthening Colleague Wellbeing
Since its establishment in 2022, our People Board has become a vital platform for colleague voice, representing colleagues from all schools and roles across our Trust. This inclusive group ensures that diverse perspectives are heard and valued, helping to shape a positive and supportive working environment.
This year, the People Board successfully developed and launched a comprehensive Supervision Model aimed at supporting colleagues at every level. The model places a strong emphasis on internal wellbeing through regular line manager check-ins and provides external Supervision for designated colleagues and leaders handling complex safeguarding cases. In addition to this, the People Board introduced a peer buddy system designed to foster regular, collaborative support and connection between colleagues across different schools, strengthening networks and promoting a culture of mutual care and professional growth.
Over the last 3 years, our members have developed to becomes wellbeing champions across our Trust, sharing ideas and inspiring initiatives within their teams. The People Board also plays a key role in shaping our people strategy by consulting on important areas such as employee benefits, CPD, mental health, and policies, insights that will guide our work into 2025/26.
Over the past decade, the People Board has driven initiatives that have become integral to our culture, including the Long Service Awards and our Staff Experience and Wellbeing survey, now in its fourth year, both of which highlight our ongoing commitment to valuing and amplifying colleague voice.
