In May 2022, we launched the Red Kite People Board, bringing together around 20 representatives from across our schools and teams. This group ensures that every voice is heard and plays a vital role in shaping the future of our Trust and initiatives that enhance staff wellbeing.
From the outset, the People Board has focused on wellbeing, identifying practical ideas and actions to support the health and resilience of our teams. This work aligns with our core value: ‘We Promote Wellbeing.’
To further embed our commitment, we have made a formal declaration through the DfE Wellbeing Charter, using its principles to guide our efforts. Moving forward, our priorities will include:
Strengthening support for general wellbeing and mental health
Developing supervision and peer support networks
Enhancing the culture and working environment across our schools
By prioritising these areas, we aim to create a culture where every colleague feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive because we believe that when our colleagues flourish, so do the children in our care.
