On 19th and 20th September, Temple Learning Academy welcomed Ofsted inspectors into school. Whilst the findings of this visit are yet to be published, staff described the experience as very positive and praised the impeccable behaviour of pupils as they enthused to inspectors about their school.
Ofsted has confirmed that Oatlands Junior School continues to be a ‘Good’ school with evidence to suggest that the school could be judged outstanding if we were to carry out a graded inspection now.

We would like to extend an extra special welcome to our new families, joining reception, nursery and higher up school too. We have had a great start to the new term and the children have settled back into school very well.

On Thursday, last week, we held a New Starters Information meeting for parents/carers’ of children who will join us in September. The event was well attended and it was great sharing information about our school and enabling those present to have a look at our Early Years classrooms and meet the teachers.
This week has been a little strange, the bank holiday and industrial action has caused the days to meld into one and nobody is quite sure what day it is! However, the children have been working hard and lots has been going on.

I can’t quite believe that we have reached the end of another half term! It has been a busy week in school with lots of exciting things taking place.
We raised an amazing amount for Simon on the Streets, we would like to thank all the parents who were involved.
Wow—what a great term we have had! So many successes especially with writing which is our main focus. I am very excited to see what 2023 holds for us all.

Another busy and productive time at Meadowfield! The weather keeps threatening to spoil our fun but we are not letting it.
Meadowfield showed our respects last Friday with each class contributing a wreath to our remembrance garden to be placed alongside our Tommy soldier.
Last week, a selection of Meadowfield's Year 1 children went to the local care home to deliver and read their story books written in class.
What a great week and we ended it today with such a special remembrance assembly—held to ensure we never forget the sacrifices made by so many for our country.
